CLG na nDúnaibh would like to welcome you to Downings on your visit to the area and we would hope that you enjoy your stay in the village and return at some time again in the future. As always, and with all sites, there are some rules that must be adhered to which are outlined below. On the website, you will find local a location map of amenities within the GAA grounds. We would appreciate if you would support our local businesses as much as possible during your stay in the village.
- All payments for your stay will be made prior to arrival, online, on the booking app.
- All bookings are non-refundable.
- It is strictly quiet time from 10pm on the site.
- Vehicles cannot enter or exit the site after 10pm each night.
- Awnings should not be erected Monday-Friday before 1st July.
- Breathable groundsheets must be used.
- No tents can be erected at any time.
- Caravans/Campers to be kept on the site only. Water craft such as jet skis should not be parked on site.
- Any barbecues must be elevated off the ground.
- Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times.
- The main football pitch and stand are out of bounds and should not be used.
- Access to the beach is through the gate on the shoreside of the caravan stands.
- All bottles and cans should be recycled by the patrons, and there is a facility for this at the entrance to Downings Beach or the Car Park opposite St John the Baptist Church Carrigart.
- All other refuse to be put in the bin as provided.
- Water must not be wasted as there is an annual charge to the club.
- Water/Waste cassettes to be emptied at the rear of the GAA centre.
- Ladies and Gents toilets are available and there is a charge of €5 per key which is refundable when you leave the site and the toilets are also identified on the location map on the back of this sheet.
- Patrons are asked to sanitise the toilets before and after use and provide their own toilet roll. Disinfectant spray will be available in each toilet for sanitising purposes.
- Anti-Social Behaviour will not be tolerated in any form and patrons will be asked to vacate the site with immediate effect should this become an issue.
- Please be considerate of neighbouring caravan owners and keep all noise to a minimum. There should not be any outside activity after midnight.
- The site closes for the summer on 31st August and all vans must be removed on or before 1st September. There are no exceptions to this rule.
